# Data and uninstall

> What each power-up stores, how to delete it, and what happens when you delete the plugin

Every power-up lists what it stores in a **Data** section, where you can also delete it. Nothing leaves your site.

## Turning a power-up off

Turning a power-up off keeps its settings and data. Switch it back on and everything is as you left it.

Turning it off does stop its background work. For example, it cancels guest-account conversions and order completions that are still waiting.

The Email log is the exception. While its log exists, old entries still expire every day and privacy requests still include it, with the power-up on or off. Delete the log in its Data section to stop that. Deactivating the plugin stops the daily clean-up.

## The Data section

Open a power-up with **Configure** and scroll below its settings to **Data**. It lists what the power-up stores, how much, and a button for each item:

* **Delete** removes that item.
* **Reset** on **Settings** brings back the default settings.
* Items marked **Stays** belong to your store and are never deleted.

</Frame>

Deleting asks you to confirm in two steps. Deleting all customer tags, or the Database clean-up history, also asks you to type "delete".

Big lists, such as background job history, delete in batches with a progress count. When it's done, the page reloads so the settings show the new state, and a message confirms it.

### What stays

These are part of your store, so they're shown as **Stays** and never deleted, not even when you delete the plugin:

* Customer accounts created or linked from guest orders
* Addresses saved to customer profiles
* Completed orders and order notes

### What each power-up stores

Each power-up's page in these docs has a **Data** table. In short:

| Power-up | Stores |
| - | - |
| Every power-up with settings | Its settings |
| Accounts for guest orders | Welcome email markers, background job history |
| Advanced order search | Checked metadata keys, background job history |
| Autocomplete orders | Email markers, background job history |
| Customer table columns | Found columns |
| Customer tags | Tag groups and tags, background job history |
| Duplicate customer finder | Last scan results, scan in progress, "Not a duplicate" marks, scan work tables |
| Email log | Logged emails |
| Email preview & resend | Test send times |
| Checkout blocklist | Blocked attempts, background job history |
| High-value order alerts | Email wording, alert sent markers, alert locks |
| Quick stock | Edit locks |
| Scheduled action monitor | Queue summary, Run now requests, background job history |
| Cron inspector | Last loopback check |
| Autoloaded options | Change history |
| Test data | Run in progress, batch list, step lock, signing key |
| Database clean-up | Scan results, stopped clean-up, clean-up history, weekly clean-up progress, clean-up lock |

## Deleting the plugin

When you delete the plugin from **Plugins**, it removes its settings and data on every site.

To keep them, switch on **Keep data if the plugin is deleted** in the sidebar's System card before you delete the plugin. It's set per site.

Switching it on takes effect straight away. Switching it off asks you to type "delete" first, because the next plugin delete would then remove the data for good. **Cancel** or Escape leaves it on. The server checks the typed word too.

Store records (accounts, saved addresses, orders and order notes) stay either way. Records of **Switch to customer** switches that are still active expire on their own within 12 hours.

## Privacy

* The plugin has no tracking. Your data stays on your site.
* [Customer tags](/admin-powerups/customer-tags) and the [Email log](/admin-powerups/email-log) are included in WordPress's personal data export and erase tools. For the Email log, that includes store emails about the person's orders and account.
* [Accounts for guest orders](/admin-powerups/guest-accounts) creates user accounts from checkout data. Mention it in your privacy policy.
