# Email recipients & attachments

> Copy WooCommerce emails to extra addresses and attach files

Email recipients & attachments copies any WooCommerce email to extra addresses, such as your warehouse, accountant or supplier, and attaches files like terms, warranties or product guides.

**Shows in:** WooCommerce emails

## Turn it on

1. Go to **WooCommerce → Powerups**, click **Configure** on **Email recipients & attachments**.
2. Set up recipients and attachments, click **Save changes**, and switch the power-up on.

## Extra recipients

The **Extra recipients** table lists every WooCommerce email, split into **Store emails** and **Customer emails**. For each one you can add **To**, **Cc** and **Bcc** addresses. Separate addresses with commas. Emails turned off in WooCommerce are marked **Off in WooCommerce**.

On a phone, the table shows each email as a block: its name, then To, Cc and Bcc each on a labelled line.

</Frame>

<Warning>
  Everyone in To and Cc sees each other's address, including the customer on customer emails. Use Bcc to keep addresses private.
</Warning>

* Invalid addresses are marked and not saved.
* Emails that are turned off, or have no recipient, stay unsent. An extra To address doesn't force them out.
* Account emails (new account, password reset, email address confirmation and back-in-stock sign-up verification) aren't offered, because their private links go only to the account holder.

## Attachments

Click **Add attachment rule** to attach files to emails. Each rule has:

* **Files**: click **Choose files** to pick files from the Media Library.
* **Attach to**: the emails the files go with.
* **Only when the order has these products**, **…or products in these categories**: optional. Leave both empty to always attach.

<Warning>
  Large files make emails slow to send and may be rejected by inboxes. Keep attachments small (under 5 MB in total).
</Warning>

A rule only attaches files that the person who saved it can read, stored inside your uploads folder. Files in protected download folders are never attached: WooCommerce's `woocommerce_uploads` (on any site of a network), and the `edd` and `dlm_uploads` folders of Easy Digital Downloads and Download Monitor. The check runs when the rules are saved and again at every send.

Saving checks every rule's files for the person saving. If a shop manager re-saves rules an admin made, files the shop manager can't read are dropped, and a rule left without files isn't saved.

## Settings

| Setting | Default | What it does |

| **Extra recipients** | None | Extra To, Cc and Bcc per email. |
