The editor’s sidebar asks a set of questions of your draft on every keystroke, and answers each one. It is the difference between finding out a preset is broken now and finding out from a customer.

Two severities

A failure blocks the save. The preset cannot work as configured — it would produce a broken cart or no link at all. A warning does not. The preset will work, and may not do what you meant. Refusing a save over one of these would be refusing a decision that is yours to make. Clicking any check scrolls to the control it is about and highlights it. A check that names a problem always names where it is.

Checks the free build stays quiet about

Five of these name controls the free build does not have. On free they are suppressed, because complaining forever about a field you cannot reach is worse than saying nothing — you would be locked out of your own preset over a problem with no fix. Suppressed on free: the custom-item price, name and weight checks, the end-date ordering check, and the cap comparison.
The free build is not quiet about a custom item existing. Whether an item reaches the cart is a fact about the preset, not a field filled in wrong — so it warns, and says how many items will not be added.

Stock problems

Separately from the health panel, the listing flags presets whose items have a stock problem — out of stock, deleted, unpublished, or a variation whose attributes no longer match. You can filter the listing by it. This is checked against live product data rather than stored with the preset, so a product coming back into stock clears the flag without you touching the preset.
