This walks through one preset end to end: three products, a discount, and a link you can paste into a newsletter. Everything here works on the free build.

1. Create the preset

Go to Cart Presets → Add New Preset. Give it a title. The slug fills itself in from the title as you type, and the slug is what appears in the link — “Starter Kit” becomes starter-kit. You can edit the slug directly if you want something shorter. The internal description is for your team. Customers never see it.

2. Add items

In the Items card, click Add store product and pick a product. Repeat for each one you want in the set. For a variable product, the picker asks you to choose the variation. Every attribute has to be answered — a preset has nobody to ask at cart time, so “Any” is not an option here. Expand a row to set:
  • Quantity — how many of this item the link adds.
  • A per-item discount — a percentage, a fixed amount off, or a flat price that replaces the product’s own.
  • Quantity rules — whether the customer may change the amount in the cart, and between what bounds.

3. Set the price

Each item can carry its own discount, and the preset as a whole can carry one on top. Turn on Additional discount and choose: Target total is the useful one for a kit: you name the price you advertised and the plugin works out the discount. The Pricing summary on the right recalculates as you type, and it shows the same numbers the customer’s cart will. If they disagree, that is a bug — they are pinned to each other by a shared test fixture.

4. Check the health panel

Below the summary, Health checks asks about a dozen questions of the preset and answers each one. A warning is something that will work but may not be what you meant. A failure blocks the save — a variation with an unanswered attribute, a discount switched on with no amount, no items at all. Click any check to jump to the control it is about.

5. Save and share

Click Save preset. The Preset link card fills in with the live URL:
Copy it with the button beside it. That link is now live — anyone who follows it lands on your cart page holding the three items at the price you set.
A preset goes live the moment you save it with the status switch on. There is no separate publish step. If you want it built now and selling later, that is a schedule.

6. Try it yourself

Open the link in a private window, so you arrive as a customer rather than as yourself. You should land on the cart with the three items in it, each carrying a Part of preset label, and the total matching what the editor quoted.
