Order number, SKU, product, spend, number of orders and date searches need High-performance order storage.
Number of orders and Lifetime spend cap very large numbers at the largest amount they search for. A number too long to read as an amount finds nothing.Only registered customers are listed, because guests have no account. To find guest orders, use Advanced order search.SKU and product searches use WooCommerce’s order-product lookup table, which updates in the background. A just-placed order can take a moment to appear.
Search types need permission to manage WooCommerce. The order-based ones (Order number, SKU purchased, Product purchased, Number of orders, Lifetime spend and Ordered in) also work for people who can edit orders. Types you can’t use aren’t in your dropdown, so a role that can only list users sees none of them.
Types marked Slower look inside customer details or add up orders, which can’t use database indexes: Name, Email, Phone, Company, Address, City, Postcode, Number of orders and Lifetime spend. On stores with many customers or orders, a search can take a few seconds. Order number, SKU, product, tag and order date stay fast.
