Turn it on
Go to WooCommerce → Powerups and switch on Thank-you page preview. It has no settings.Use it
On the order page, find the Thank-you page section in the Customer pages box and click Preview. The page opens in a new tab with a banner (“Scripts and tracking are off”) and a Back to order link.A thank-you page in preview, with the Scripts and tracking are off banner and the Back to order link
What the preview does and doesn’t do
- Scripts, tracking pixels, analytics and conversion code don’t run. On top of the security header that blocks scripts, the preview removes script modules, the import map, module preload links and WordPress’s emoji loader.
- Other plugins’ thank-you actions are skipped, and so is anything other plugins or the theme add around the order details. WooCommerce’s own parts, such as the Order again button, stay.
- Your own cart is left alone.
- The page isn’t cached or indexed.
- Payment instructions (for example bank details) and order details still show.
- Images, stylesheets and fonts from other sites are blocked, and so are video, audio and embedded frames.
Links expire
The preview link works for you only and expires in about a day. An old or shared link shows “Preview unavailable”, never the live page. Open the preview again from the order page.Data
This power-up stores nothing.Known limitations
- The preview shows the page without scripts, so anything a script draws (some themes and blocks) won’t appear. The customer sees the same page, with scripts.
- Images, stylesheets and fonts from a CDN are blocked too. A developer can allow a CDN with the
apwc_thankyou_preview_img_src,apwc_thankyou_preview_style_srcandapwc_thankyou_preview_font_srcfilters.
